Mentoring Youth
In collaboration with our partners, Backfield in Motion and Kids Empowered by Your Support, we were able to help sponsor educational enrichment summer programs for youth in inner-city communities in Nashville, Tennessee, and Bridgeport, Connecticut. By breaking socioeconomic barriers, these organizations empower youth to achieve their true potential, a mission that resonates deeply with Ubuntu for Humanity’s values.
Youth Enrichment Summer Academy with Backfield in Motion
From university campus visits to informative corporate seminars, Ubuntu For Humanity helped sponsor Backfield in Motion’s incredible Summer Academy, providing at-risk youth in Nashville, Tennessee, with life-changing opportunities to improve their college and career readiness. Students participated in activities centered around Nashville’s Vision for Holistic Youth Development on Empathy and Compassion as well as corporate seminars with MARS Petcare focusing on Sales and Marketing. Honored to partner with such a dedicated organization to benefit these talented students!

Mental Health Mentoring Session
Understanding mental health and the importance of seeking help when needed is crucial to academic performance and emotional well-being. Last month, Ubuntu for Humanity partnered with @developafrica to support a mental health mentoring workshop for 35 girls in Sierra Leone. Young women often face societal pressures and unique challenges and can especially benefit from these mentoring workshops. When mental health is prioritized, girls feel empowered to pursue higher education, set ambitious career goals, and contribute positively to their communities. Your support helps the students of today grow into the leaders of tomorrow by helping them gain experiences with inspiring mentors and role models and learn skills that will last them a lifetime.
KEYS Summer Program 2024
Ubuntu For Humanity was proud to support Kids Empowered by Your Support (KEYS) with its 2024 Summer Program. To further its mission of bringing quality music education to underserved youth in Bridgeport, Connecticut, KEYS hosted a month of dedicated summer programming, with classes in strings, piano, choir, winds, brass, and percussion that included students from complete beginners to seasoned young musicians.
